Minister Raquel Sánchez inaugurates the Global Mobility Call at Expo Dubai 2020
The Minister of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda, Raquel Sánchez, visits the Spain Pavilion to present the Global Mobility Call congress.
Minister Raquel Sánchez traveled to the United Arab Emirates to celebrate the opening of the first conference about Travel and Connectivity organized by the Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda (MITMA). She stayed from last Sunday, January 9, until today, January 10. During her visit, he toured the facilities of Expo Dubai 2020 and signed the book of honor of the Spain Pavilion.
Raquel Sánchez together with IFEMA Madrid, one of the main congress operators in Europe, were in charge of presenting the inauguration of the Global Mobility Call, the first world congress on sustainable mobility that will take place next July. The event was presented in front of the most important business and institutional powers of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
Global Mobility Call aims to bring together and promote collaboration between world leaders in the mobility sector who are involved in the development of sustainable, safe and connected mobility initiatives. In this way, taking advantage of the prosperity of investment opportunities and economic recovery that mobility projects enjoy, Spain intends to position itself as a benchmark in the debate on sustainable mobility.
As stated by the General Secretary for Transport and Mobility of the Government of Spain, María José Rallo during her speech: “Global Mobility Call will be a 360-degree global stage that shows and promotes this great transformation towards sustainability. I invite our partners and all mobility actors in the MENA region to join the movement.”
In this way, the aim of the congress Global Mobility Call is to become one of the most important events in the world and promote the transition of the mobility systems of the future through business collaboration.
Likewise, the event will incorporate a dialogue on “The need to accelerate the transformation towards sustainable mobility. Dubai and Global Mobility Call as success stories”, in which major business and institutional powers from Spain and the United Arab Emirates will participate. Santiago Bañales, Director of Iberdrola Innovation Middle East and Mike Bhaskaran, Director of Logistics and Technology Operations at DP World are some of the guests who will be present at the event.
